Scott Ross is a retired Canadian stockbroker, investment advisor and portfolio manager with a thirty year career helping households save, invest, and make clearer decisions in a system that rarely puts them first. He began his finance career in 1992 after completing an MBA at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax. Before finance, he attended Military College and served in the Royal Canadian Navy—formative years that shaped a bias toward discipline, plain English thinking, and calm under pressure.
Over the next three decades, he built an advisory practice while navigating an industry where client’s best interests and institutional incentives were often misaligned. Along the way, he earned industry leading credentials, including CFP, CIM, CFA, FCSI, and CIPM (with business foundations in BA and MBA). Those letters mattered to him for what they enabled: better questions, better process, and better odds for families, not as ends in themselves.
